Food. Obscure Pop Culture References. Veganism. Awkwardness.

They are awesome for several reasons:
1) You're getting pretty much all of your daily fruits and veggies in one shot, so you can eat a huge ass bowl of Soy Delicious at 2 AM and not feel too bad about it.
2) You can make them out of pretty much whatever the hell is in your fridge/freezer/garden, so they're great for using up last bits of things.
3) They are usually always delicious, unless you do something totally stupid like that one time I blended kale with wheat germ, spirulina, molasses, and orange juice. I have no idea what the hell I was thinking.
I usually make a different one every morning, and the one I made this morning was the best one so far:
some pineapple, including core
a very ripe nectarine, pit removed
1/4 cup goji berries
14/ cup dried white mulberries
1 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
a HUGE pile of greens (spinach, chard, endive, arugula, some carrot greens)
filtered water
ice cubes
DAMN, it was tasty, and I felt awesome after I drank it.
I just prepared and devoured this:

It's slices of sun dried tomato polenta panfried with Teese and cooking spray. It was completely amazing. Try this at home.
While I'm sharing food porn pictures, here's a pie I made last week:

I sort of improvised it with what I had lying around. It contains the following:
-Great Northern beans
-mashed firm tofu
-pine nuts
-kale
-garlic
-lemon juice
-fresh basil
-nutritional yeast
-sea salt
-white pepper
It was really, really good.
That's all for now. I'm gonna go knit and watch Star Trek now.
